About

As a therapy space: It is a safe space to feel, express, and work on personal growth. My goal is to create a calm, thoughtful and creative environment to help guide you in working through life’s challenges. See here for much more about my therapy work.

As an art studio: it is a schoolhouse, a studio, a room to express yourself.  It’s a center for inspiration, creativity, support, learning and community. It’s a place to cultivate self-acceptance and spontaneity. You will be able to work on your own projects individually or take a workshop with a group and either way something crafty will happen. Heart House Studio is meant to be good for your heart and your art!

My name is Kendra Rosenblatt. For over 20 years I have more formally studied photography, printmaking, textiles, drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and the art of book making. For the past 12 years I have been helping people develop greater ease with life’s challenges and strengthen their self-acceptance as a creative therapist. I went to an alternative art high school, and from there I followed my love of art and human behavior, graduating from Hampshire College in1999 with a BA in Art and Cultural Studies. My interest in helping people develop healthy relationships led me to receive a graduate degree as a Marriage and Family Therapist.  I have been working as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician for 12 years, and I continue to make art.  Creativity has always been a big part of my life and my way of healing and expressing myself. It has been the form of expression that comes most intuitively and naturally in times of big emotion. I recognize it as a major life supporting tool for myself and want to inspire and support others in their relationship to their intuitive creativity. I believe the deep personal growth work I have done allows me to hold an empathic and open space for others’ emotional growth and expression.
